Import and export Prices report showed inflationary pressure moving into consumer prices. Import prices for consumer goods rose 0.4% in April.

 

Export prices for consumer goods were also up 0.4% in April.  These increases are reflected in high energy prices and food prices; petroleum increased by 7.2% to 37% year on year and there was also a 0.6% increase in food export prices to 35% year on year.
