Construction Spending – M/M change -1.4 % 0.5 % -0.5 % to 1.0 % 1.4 %

March showed a slight rise in  the construction sector of the economy.  Construction spending in March was 1.4% higher after February’s 2.4% drop.  1.4% in March was 0.5% higher than the expected median.

March’s rise included a 2.6% boost in private residential outlays, Nonresidential construction spending rose 1.8% and Public outlays were up 0.1%.
