NEW YORK, Sept 29 (Reuters) – U.S. crude oil inventories
fell slightly more than expected last week on lower imports, a
government report showed on Wednesday.
Stocks of gasoline and distillates also dropped, against
forecasts of builds, as refinery utilization slumped 2
percentage points to 85.8 percent, according to the report by
the U.S. Energy Information Administration. [EIA/S]
Crude stockpiles fell 475,000 barrels to 357.9 million
barrels in the week to Sept. 24, according to the EIA, after
analysts polled by Reuters had forecast a 300,000 barrel build.
Imports of crude fell 317,000 barrels per day to 8.97
million bpd.
