WHEAT – Down 4 to 6 cents per bushel
Market considered overbought after Friday’s corn-led rally.
Firm dollar also overhanging prices. Traders waiting for
results of Egyptian tender to give direction to market.
* Dry weather a concern for planting of this year’s winter
wheat crop in places like Indiana and western Ohio.
CORN – Mixed, Up 2 to down 2 cents per bushel
Consolidation trade expected after rally pushed prices to
highest level in more than two years on Monday. U.S.
Agriculture Department’s reduced crop view underpins.
* U.S. corn harvest seen 50 to 55 percent complete. USDA to
issue harvest update at 3 p.m. CDT (2000 GMT).
* Good harvest weather for corn and soybeans expected
around U.S. Midwest. Temperatures expected to range from
average to well above normal for next few days.
SOYBEANS – Up 6 to 8 cents per bushel
Strong export demand, tight supply situation supportive to
soybean prices despite strengthening dollar.
* U.S. soybean harvest seen 60 to 65 percent complete. USDA
to issue harvest update at 3 p.m. CDT (2000 GMT).
