WHEAT – Down 1/2 to 1 cent per bushel.
Pressure from a firm dollar, but market underpinned by dry
weather in the U.S. winter wheat region that is leading to
concern about seedings of the 2011 crop.
* Dry weather beginning to cause concern in the winter
wheat areas in the U.S. Midwest and also in the U.S. Plains.
CORN – Down 2 to 3 cents per bushel.
Firm dollar, active U.S. corn harvest and profit-taking
amid overbought technicals weighing on corn market.
* Dry weather in the U.S. Midwest this week will continue
to boost corn and soybean harvest that already is taking place
at a record setting pace.
* Traders estimating U.S. corn harvest 65 to 70 percent
complete, up from 51 percent a week ago
SOYBEANS – Down 1 to 2 cents per bushel.
Pressured by a firm dollar, active U.S. soybean harvest and
profit-taking amid overbought technicals. Better crop weather
in South America also weighing on the market.
* Weather in the U.S Midwest remains conducive to soy
harvest, outlooks for drier weather a concern in Argentina
while overall satisfactory weather continues in Brazil.
* Traders estimating U.S. soybean harvest 80 percent
complete, up from 67 percent a week ago..
