Housing starts which are noted at the start of a new build of residential building, rose 7.2% in March. This was much needed after the 18.5% decline in February. The yearly annualized pace was down 13.4% from last year. However, March’s rise was due to 7.7% increase in single family starts and housing permits which gained 11.2%.
